Fresh Start Checking is for people who have been restricted from opening a checking account due to a ChexSystems record or previous account mismanagement.

How do I open a Fresh Start Checking account?

  1. Find out if you qualify. Please stop by an Alliance Financial Center.
  2. Meet with an Alliance Member Relationship Manager to open your account. You'll need to have a Member Savings Account1 and deposit $50 or more into your new checking account.

If your account is in good standing after one (1) year, you may be eligible for Simply Checking and our Courtesy Coverage protection program.

Eligibility and Requirements

  •  Be 18 years of age or older
  •  Maintain a Member Savings account1
  •  Make an initial deposit of $50 or more
  •  Provide a drivers license or state-issued ID card for each member who will be on the account
